Programs

Open Shop Hours

Open Shop Hours

The Sopo shop is open to the public on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 7 pm until 10 pm, and on Saturdays and Sundays from 2 pm until 5 pm. The purpose of General Shop Hours is to provide our community with a people's bicycle repair shop.
Bicycle Parking Rack Installation

Bicycle Parking Rack Installation

Sopo installs bicycle parking racks for local businesses.  Prices start at $180 for a 5-bike capacity rack.  All materials and installation by Sopo volunteers are included in the price.
Youth Programming

Youth Programming

Children ages 15 and younger are welcome to use the shop on Saturdays and Sundays during the summer. We have a Youth Mentor on staff to supervise and assist the youths on those days. On all other days of operation, children must bring adult supervision. Support for our summer youth programming is provided by Perros Libres, Inc. and Intown Bicycles.
Internships

Internships

Sopo accepts internship applications year-round. We are looking for self-motivated, good natured young people who want to be challenged. You must be a student or a participant in a program outside of Sopo that will hold you accountable. Send your resume and letter of intent to us.
Task Force for the Homeless Earn-A-Bike

Task Force for the Homeless Earn-A-Bike

The No Excuses Bicycle Shop (NEBS) is a Community Economic Development project. As a community partnership of Taskforce for the Homeless and Sopo Bicycle Cooperative, NEBS will provide skills training in bicycle repair and safety. Our method of skills training includes opportunities for leadership and mentorship, and it is designed to support participants as they achieve job seeking benchmarks and milestones. The shop will be staffed by Sopo Bicycle Cooperative and Task Force Americorps volunteers. Ultimately, it will be NEBS participants who take on all teaching roles over time.
