John Lewis--Representative, Freedom Rider, and Civil Rights Leader--Visits Sopo
What an honor. John Lewis, our U.S. Representative, turned a wrench with us on Saturday. He graciously shook everyone's bike greasy hands and thanked us for our spectacular community work. It was thoroughly exciting to have a most respected community leader who's been fighting for our rights for decades come and see how we go about making his district, and the world, a better place.
We especially appreciated the opportunity to introduce our youngest community members to their Representative. The Rep. imparted a few words of wisdom out of adult earshot. Personally, I have never been so verklempt.*
Creative Loafing snapped a few pictures, so stay tuned for more about our fantastic day!
Pictured Above: John Lewis helping Miguel, my sidekick, test ride his bike. Thanks to Robert "Bobble" Ashton for the write up on Ride Bikes.
