Having a Good Time at Sopo? Tell Us About It!

The shop is busier than ever these days.  Gas prices might have something to do with it.  But I suspect that people are turning out more and more because the shop is a whole lot of fun.  Having a good time at Sopo?  Leave us a comment.  Tell us a story.  Give us a critique if you want to (we like it when it's constructive).  Of course, the good times wouldn't be possible without all of you, so thanks for making our collective dream come true!

Click the "Read Full Story" link and go to the comment form at the bottom of the page.

PS.  Remember when the shop looked like this?

when the shop was a mess

Yikes.

Now it looks like this:

now the shop is clean

Thanks Rachael for the update and receipt. I do appreciate the followup! I had a positive experience at the shop the other night and now even more convinced I'm supporting a worthwhile cause. Everyone was positive and helpful! Recently, I was on MARTA with my bike. A man on the train commented, "I would like to bike commute, but a working man can't afford gas or a bike." A light went off in my tiny brain and I then told him about SoPo Bike Coop. He seemed interested enough that he wrote down SoPo's internet address! I know of 2 people who have adopted bike commuting recently. Seems it really is catching on in the Emory/CDC area and these people are like me...recreational bike riders at best. The point is you've built a good thing at the right time! You can count on our continued support.

Sopo has been great. I have learned how to fix and help others fix their bikes. This past weekend a couple came in (names omitted but you know who you are). She needed to fix her brakes and his bike was stolen and needed another. They learned quickly. She fixed both sets of brakes and he pieced together a complete bike from parts at the shop. They rode away happy. Big thank you to them, it was great to work together. Another guy that was there, wanted to build a single speed and by the end of the day, he had his hipster bike ready. Thanks Sopo!
