The Grant Park Summer Shade Fest is this weekend and SoPo will be there.

The Summer Shade Festival is a fundraiser put on by the Grant Park Conservancy to help its efforts to restore this historic green space. Past years have had attendance at over 20,000 visitors and there will be two days of music, art, fine dining, and relaxing in the park.
The Shade Fest spans two days:
Saturday- 10am-10pm
Sunday- 11am-7pm
This weekend Sopo is participating in the Grant Park Shade Festival and we need your help!
This is a great opportunity for us to meet our neighbors and talk to people about everything we do! We need volunteers to come out to the festival and keep our tent fun! As a volunteer, you can help set up or take down the tent, talk to people, fold and staple some zines, and hang out. Oh, and check out the rest of the festival while you’re there!
Sopo has been invited to exhibit as a local nonprofit and we will need volunteers to staff our tent at the festival. Volunteers will need to hang out at the tent and promote our organization to individuals that stop by our tent. This is a really easy volunteer opportunity outside of wrenching at our shop. Just hang out at our tent and talk to folks about Sopo’s mission and programming. Even just a few hours of help would be great and then you’re already over in Grant Park to enjoy the rest of the festival.

You can bring your children to help out too, but Grant Park says “NO DOGS”
